Terex crane order from Schuch
Crane hire company Schuch extends its crane fleet with several new cranes from Terex. The order covers one mobile crane AC 250-1, one rough terrain crane A 600 from Terex-Bendini and two units of the truck mounted crane TC 40L. Stefan Schuch describes the advantages of the truck mounted cranes with the high mobility and the short term until they are ready to use.
Beside crane hire the Schuch group of companies offers abnormal loads, machinery moving as well as rental of service platforms. The fleet of cranes shall be increased in 2009 with a 1,000 tons telescopic crane and a Demag crawler crane CC 2800-1. Therefore the companies location in Sembach will be developed as a central station for heavy cranes.

24 Demags for Hewden
UK based crane hire Hewden has spent 12 million euros to buy for 24 Demag cranes. Nine cranes of this order already have been delivered. The remaining rest of the order will be fullfilled until summer of 2007. The complete order covers cranes from 35 to 100 tonnes capacity. The total fleet of Hewden comprises 229 crane units altogether. Hewden concentrates ist crane fleet capacities in the range up to 100 tonnes to fullfill their customers needs best.
Landmark for Hareket
Turkey's leading heavylift company scored a double first when it erected a new gantry crane at an offshore yard in Tuzla in October. According to contractor Hareket Heavy Lifting & Transport, it was the heaviest load ever lifted in Turkey and the first time that a Turkish company had used strand jacks in Turkey. The gantry crane weighed 855t, stood 67.9m high and had a 55m span. Hareket also transported it 15km to the yard. For the engineered lift, the first leg, weighing 140t, was lifted using a Demag AC 700 telescopic crane with a 300t capacity Demag CC 1800 lattice crawler for tailing. A 175t capacity Ormig TG 175 lattice boom truck crane and a 100t telescopic crane supported each side of the shear leg. The second pier leg was lifted with the AC 700 and CC 1800 in tandem, with the TG 175 tailing. For the top beam of gantry crane, weighing 530t, four units of 200t capacity strand jacks were used. During the eight hour operation, lifting of the top beam was computer controlled from a control room on the ground, 150m away from the jacks.
