LTM 1350-6.1 - New 350 tons Telescopic crane from Liebherr
Upcoming Intermat in Paris will see the presentation of the new 350 tons telescopic crane from Liebherr. The new 6-axle mobile crane is equipped with 70 meters of telescopic boom, which is 10 meters more than its forerunner, the LTM 1300-6.1. Optional available is a luffing jib which increases the maximum lifting height up to 132 meters, what predestines the LTM 1350-6.1 for instance for the assembly of tower cranes. According to Liebherr, the available Y-suspension doubles the load capacities in some working ranges, which means that the 6-axle crane can be used for jobs which are usually done by 7- or 8-axle telescopic cranes.
The carrier is driven by a Liebherr made V8-dieselmotor with 450 kW. The power is transmitted by an automated 12speed TC-Tronic gearbox from ZF. The Powerunit in the upperstructure offers 180 kW. The crane control system used in the LTM 1350-6.1 is a LICCON 2. The available mobile bluetooth terminal can be used in order to position the crane on its supports. The driver can attach and detach the hook block at the bumper by remote control of the movements of the winch and the telescopic boom luffing ram. The counterweight with a maximum of 140 tons as well as the Y-suspension can be attached by remote control. For the mounting of the Y-suspension no spupporting crane is needed, as already known from the LTM 1400-7.1.

Grove GSK 55: Trailer mounted mobile crane
Manitowoc again introduces a new innovative mobile crane concept named GSK 55. The upperstructure already is known from its AT-version, the GMK 3055, fitted with 43 meters of telescopic boom and a double folding jib with 8,7 and 15 meters of lenght as option. The special idea about the GSK 55 is its carrier, as it is a specially designed 3-axle trailer-chassis. For moving the crane this chassis can be combined with a common prime mover that usually is available in every truckfleet.
The GSK 55 offers the same load capacities and working radius like the GMK 3055, though it has not its mobility offside the road. But the great benefit of this concept is the road mobility between different job sites. Combined with a 2-axle truck and full ballast of 11,6 tonnes, the GSK 55 has a maximum load per axle of 9 tonnes. The trailer chassis is fitted with 93kW-motor from Iveco. With this motor all crane functions are driven, including the outrigger system. At coming Intermat in Paris Grove will show the GSK 55 in iron for the first time.
500 t crawler crane from Hitachi Sumitomo
Japanese crane manufacturer Hitachi Sumitomo has recently launched a new crawler crane. The 6000SLX has a rated capacity of 500 tonnes at a working radius of 6 meters. The maximum main boom length is 108 meters, maximum boom configuration with a luffing fly jib is 72 + 72 meters. The crane will be officially shown in April 2009 at the Intermat in Paris for the first time. The 6000SLX is worldwide distributed except of America where it is offered as Link-Belt 548. The Link-Belt version was already shown at Conexpo in Las Vegas in March 2008.

CC 1500 :The new CC 1500 is a crawler crane based on the technology of the very successful CC 1800-1 but in a lighter version without Superlift attachment. The crane has a max. lifting capacity of 300 US-tons. This crane has been developed mainly for the US market to compete against the Manitowoc 999 and the Liebherr LR 1280 but is also very interesting for customers all over the world.
AC 110: The new AC 110 combines the practice-proven technology of the AC 100 with the outstanding new technology of the AC 160-1. The crane features a powerful superstructure, a 50 m main boom, and the 33 m boom extension of the renowned 100-tonner. To satisfy the US road regulations, the crane is equipped with the newly developed carrier of the 160-tonner with special US axle configuration and axle loads of less than 10 t. The carrier features the new speed-dependent rear axle steering and thus sets new standards in terms of both travel convenience and maneuverability.
AC 200-1: The new AC 200-1 with its 68 m boom is the longest in its category and provides a tremendous system length of 100 m. This is a very strong and versatile crane with 4 outrigger positions as standard, featuring the new electro-hydraulic rear axle steering and the ingenious crane control system IC-1.
AC 160-1: The new AC 160-1 is the little brother of the AC 200-1. The technology and many of its features are very similar to the AC 200-1, the boom length is 64 m with a system length of 96 m. Compared to the AC 200-1, this crane is roadable with 2.1 t of counterweight while axle loads keep within the 12 t limit. The AC 160-1 is one of the world’s first cranes that have been designed to satisfy most of the road regulations all over the world, using a special axle configuration for the carrier.
