LTM 11200-9.1
Second LTM 11200-9.1 delivered to Van Marwijk
The second ever produced LTM 11200-9.1 from Liebherr was deliverd to crane rental company Van Marwijk in Zoeterwoude. So both LTM 11200-9.1 produced until now are working for crane hire companies based in the Netherlands.
First LTM 11200-9.1 delivered to Mammoet
Mammoet has taken delivery of the first ever LTM 11200-9.1 from Liebherr. The new 1.200 tonne crane in black and red livery was sent directly to its first jobsite on the old post office tower in Rotterdam. Configured with the 100m telescopic boom and luffing jib the big Liebherr had to lift a large oval structure onto the tower.
Sogecofa acquired by Mediaco
Mediaco, the leading crane hire company of France has acquired its competitor Sogecofa Group. This acquisition covers a fleet of 150 mobile cranes up to 500 tonnes and 400 employees. Including Sogecofa, Mediaco now offers 700 cranes in 70 depots and 2400 workers. Mediaco has increased the company to its nowadays size from six depots with 60 cranes in 1990. The forecast for the turnaround in 2008 is 300 million Euros. In the beginning of 2009 Mediaco expects to take delivery of the Liebherr LTM 11200-9.1
"Worlds strongest telescopic crane" at Bauma 2007
According to Liebherr-Werk Ehingen, the manufacturer will show the "strongest telescopic crane worldwide" at Bauma 2007 in Munich. The new telescopic crane named LTM 11200-9.1 will have the longest telescopic boom with a length of 100 m. This is 16 m longer than the recordholder until now, the LTM 1500-8.1 with 84m of telescopic boom. The new designed crane with a nine-axle carrier will reach lifting heights up to 170 m. All axles are steering axles, axles number one to five are driven.
