Franz Bracht crane hire in Porta Westfalica

Some days ago the german crane hire company Franz Bracht has opened a new location. Beside the existing 12 locations in North-Rhine-Westphalia they have now established a further facility for mobile cranes in Porta Westfalica, located right beside the Bundesstraße 482. We don't have information yet about the number and type of cranes based at the new facility. Further investments of the company will be executed for new cranes. Amongst several others a crawler crane type 7700 from Sennebogen and a Liebherr telescopic crane LTM 1500-8.1 will be added to the fleet of cranes.

LG 1750 for Warylo Poland

The LG 1750 from Liebherr recently delivered to Kran Warylo is the biggest crane in Poland now. Together with the LTM 1500-8.1 and the LG 1550 already run by Warylo, the new lattice boom crane will work mainly in the mounting of wind power plants. Warylo, founded in 1986, is also involved in the construction of the infrastructure for the European Football Championship taking place in Poland in 2012.

"Worlds strongest telescopic crane" at Bauma 2007

According to Liebherr-Werk Ehingen, the manufacturer will show the "strongest telescopic crane worldwide" at Bauma 2007 in Munich. The new telescopic crane named LTM 11200-9.1 will have the longest telescopic boom with a length of 100 m. This is 16 m longer than the recordholder until now, the LTM 1500-8.1 with 84m of telescopic boom. The new designed crane with a nine-axle carrier will reach lifting heights up to 170 m. All axles are steering axles, axles number one to five are driven.

UK's Nationwide Crane Hire upgrades fleet

Nationwide Crane Hire Ltd, also known as Crane Services, is upgrading its crane fleet and has therefore ordered wheeled mobile cranes for more than UK£8.5 million (US$15 million) from Liebherr UK. The company is standardising its fleet, consisting mostly of cranes made by Liebherr, Grove and Kato. Unreliable machines will be removed from the fleet. The order includes: one LTM 1040-2.1, two LTM 1070-4.1, two LTM 1080/1, one LTM 1090-4.1, two LTM 1200-5.1, one LTM 1225-5.1 and one unit LTM 1400-7.1. They also ordered one LTC 1055-3.1 compact crane and the companies third Liebherr 500 tonner, an LTM 1500-8.1.

The top of the order is one unit of the MK 110 mobile folding tower crane, which is the first of its type in the Crane Services fleet. This crane has an extra ballast option, even like the two new LTM 1200-5.1. Crane Services worked very closely with Liebherr in the UK and in Ehingen, in developing designs for the specific needs of the UK crane hire industry and the company’s own requirements. One good example of this is the first LTM 1225-5.1 delivered in the UK which has an increased ballast. This gives enhanced capacities across the whole working range. The new ballast configuration produces ‘carried ballast’ duties which exceed any other five-axle mobile crane in this capacity.
