Terex Cranes at the SMOPYC fair in Saragossa, Spain
Terex, the world’s 3rd largest manufacturer of construction equipment will present part of its large product portfolio at the SMOPYC fair in Saragossa, Spain. SMOPYC (International show of public works, construction and mining machinery) is the most important national construction equipment show inside Spain. It will be held from March 1st until March 5th, 2005.
At the joint Terex stand (North Area E-G/9-12), Terex cranes will be showing latest product designs – two Terex-Demag mobile cranes, one Terex-PPM mobile crane, a rough terrain crane by Terex-Bendini, and two tower cranes by Terex-Comedil will be representing Terex Cranes’ innovative product range.
The highly successful City Class by Terex-Demag is growing continuously. More than one thousand machines have been delivered since the series was launched. Their special capabilities enable operators to accomplish difficult mission tasks. Terex-Demag’s AC 55 City will be shown to the Spanish construction industry audience for the first time. The three-axle AC 55 City is one of the new designs that had been introduced at the Bauma 2004. Its lifting capacity is 55 tonnes – Demag’s experience with the series and customer feedback have been entered into the machine’s design. The crane disposes of a 40 meter main boom, a newly developed two-man cab and a novel counterweight system that may be supplemented on site.
The Terex-Demag AC 120-1 – introduced at the Bauma, too – will be presented in Spain for the first time as well. The AC 120-1’s main boom is 60 meters in length; the machine uses the state-of-the-art technology of its successful larger siblings AC 160-1 and AC 200-1. Vehicle width is a mere 2,75m making the crane very compact and agile. All the new products of course feature the intelligent Demag IC-1 crane control system that comes with a color display and touch screen as well as the UNIMEC telescoping and bolting system for the boom. A computer monitored hydraulic axle control provides improved safety, driving comfort, and agility on the and on soft surfaces.
Terex-PPM will introduce their new AC 55 L, a 55 tonne crane with a boom length of 44 meters. This new machine takes into account many customer requests for a longer boom system and will be offered in addition to the standard AC 55. Information concerning PPM and PPM products may be obtained from their new homepage www.terex-ppm.com. Terex-Bendini’s rough terrain crane A 400 and two Terex-Comedil tower cranes will be on display as well. Comedil shows one of their self-erecting tower cranes, the CBR 32H and the „flat-top“ tower crane CTT 161-8. Additional details regarding these cranes may be found at www.comedil.com.
